Robert Walters is working with a UK leading property developer to offer you the chance to work alongside there finance team as an Payroll Officer. This opportunity will give you the ability to progress on your previous Payroll experience and develop further knowledge. As part of the Payroll Team you will be working to strict deadlines to ensure the efficient and reliable processing of payrolls for two companies within the group across the UK, totalling over 700 employees: one weekly and three-monthly payrolls.
Role & Responsibilities
Processing end to end payrolls for over 700 employees: 3 monthly & one weekly
Comprehensive knowledge of all UK payroll legislation
Ensuring compliance with company policies
Ensuring all HMRC RTI submissions are met
Maintain and update payroll records
Monitoring the Payroll email inbox and resolving and responding to Payroll queries in a professional, timely manner
General administration duties relating to payroll as required
P45, P60's P45's P11d and Year-End Process
Pension Scheme processing & administration in line with Auto Enrolment & Company Scheme
Dealing with new starter & leaver processes
Checking hours and calculating overtime and holiday pay
Applying cost allocations to salaries & expenses
Adhering to Company Policies in processing: Maternity, Paternity, Shared Parental, Adoption, Sickness etc
Manipulation of data within Excel, V-Look ups and Pivot tables
Monthly analysis and reconciliation of pay & benefits.
Reconciliation of accounts
Calculation of PAYE, NI, Pension, Gross pay, and Statutory payments within required deadlines
Liaising regularly with Staff, Managers & Directors
Dealing efficiently with queries throughout the payroll process
Processing employee expenses, EMS, in line with Company Policy & HMRC tax rules
Administration duties in respect of third-party employee accommodation booking system, RoomexKey Skills
Previous extensive experience of end-to-end Payroll processing
Knowledge of Payroll and Pensions regulations and legislation
Good working knowledge of payroll systems and databases
Ability to plan, prioritise and organise workload to effectively to meet deadlines
Detailed knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word
Excellent accuracy and attention to detail
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Strong analytical skills
CIPD (or equivalent) qualification minimum level 3
Strong interpersonal skills
