The successful candidate will be the key point of contact for procurement on the project.
What you'll be doing
As a Procurement Manager, you will have the following accountabilities:
• The role is accountable for the procurement of materials, services and subcontractors on a key project in the Berkshire area.
• The role is responsible for conducting tenders and obtaining quotations, analysing data, reporting on key metrics and ensuring compliance to internal policies and procedures.
• Provide cover for Head of Procurement when required from time to time
• Manage and deliver monthly procurement dashboards
• Act as escalation point for both the project team and business with regards to supply chain negotiations and issues
• Responsible for support, coaching and progression of direct reports
Leading the team to deliver the following:
• Fulfil requisitions on behalf of the project
• Provide support, resolve queries, and offer advice
• Ensure internal spend compliance
• Source suppliers and obtain quotations
• Source subcontractors and obtain quotations
• Conduct tender processes
• Commodity research and spend analysis
• Supplier meetings and engagement
• Management of Procurement Schedule
• Negotiate discounts and savings
• Supplier and subcontractor performance management
Who we're looking for
You will have the following:
• Relevant business degree or equivalent experience
• Experience in working with MEP supply chain
• Knowledge of MEP products
• Appropriate style of people management that will deliver objectives while taking into account the skills, personalities and needs of employees
• Pragmatic yet disciplined approach to process compliance
• Knowledge of procurement ERP and e-tendering systems (e.g., Oracle, Jaggaer or similar)
• Knowledge of Subcontract Procurement Process
• Supply Chain Management Experience
