Job Description
Our Client is a very successful pharmaceutical manufacturing company. They are now seeking a Production Engineer. This position is a full-time permanent role and will be based in Great Yarmouth.
Job Purpose
* Due to continued successful development, an exciting opportunity has arisen for a Production Engineer to join our Client where a wide variety of medicines and healthcare products are manufactured and released to the market
* Working in a clean manufacturing environment where the highest quality standards are observed, you will work as part of the Engineering team to ensure production plan adherence
* This position will be hands on, working a two-shift pattern: Earlies: 6am to 2pm Mon to Thursday / 6am to 1pm Fridays and Lates: 1.45pm to 10pm Mon to Thursday / 12.45 to 6.45pm Fridays
Key Areas of Responsibility
* Carrying out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) on all equipment as per the maintenance schedule
* Responding to breakdowns on production equipment
* Responding to production line running issues
* Providing continuous improvement ideas and solutions for production processes
* Working as part of a team to improve the maintenance process and procedures
* Assisting with filling and packaging equipment set-up / changeovers when necessary
* Ensuring all auditable paperwork is completed correctly
* Ensuring adherence to weekly production plans
Qualifications / Experience
* NVQ (or equivalent) in Electrical/Mechanical discipline
* Electrical/Mechanical Engineering experience
* Experience in an FMCG or pharmaceutical environment working with packaging and manufacturing equipment
* Experience of mechanical engineering, filling and packaging equipment
* Ability to work safely and in a controlled manner
* Ability to follow instructions with accuracy
* Competent computer user with experience of Microsoft software packages.
* Determination to provide a high degree of ‘customer service’ to the production teams
* Self-motivated with a proactive ‘can do’ attitude
* Team focused and a good communicator
