A manufacturing business are looking to recruiting an experience Production Shift Manager to work a rotating days & nights 12 hour shift pattern. You will be responsible for driving KPI’s, managing a team of up to twenty across the shift. Previous background working within fast paced manufacturing and leading a production team with strong understanding of health & safety practices.
As a Production Shift Manager your day-to-day responsibilities will consist of.
Reporting into the Production Manager you will ensure that plant and production output is meeting the demands of the business and customers.
Carries out daily communication briefings with the team.
Ensure all quality standards are met, immediate and corrective actions taken when dealing with complaints.
Actively involved in site safety campaigns and site safety activities.
Participate in the development and implementation of improvement plans.
Provide shift, daily and weekly reports to the Management team.
Manage, develop and motivate the shift team and training to achieve the business goals.
Maintain high level of housekeeping and cleanliness thorough all areas of the plant.
Runs regular continuous improvement initiatives
An exciting opportunity for a Production Shift Manager with the following:
Experienced leading a team within a fast paced production manufacturing environment.
Strong working knowledge of H&S legislation and ideally possess either an IOSH or NEBOSH qualification.
Understanding of continuous improvement practices.
Confident in using MRP/ERP systems ideally SAP.
Positive thinking and self-motivated individual with good communication skills
