Job Description
We are currently working for a Major UK Residential Contractor. The group has a turnover of over £800 Million across the UK and turnover in excess of £50 Billion as a group. Over the last 25 years they have built partnering relationships and have substantial order book and a large pipeline for upcoming projects across the UK.
We are working for the business unit that specialises in New Build projects and works across London and the southeast. It’s an exciting time for the business and it is also very likely that they will be delivering their own developments shortly. This business unit has a current turnover of £150 Million and they are looking to grow over the next 5 years and will have a turnover of more than £250 Million. They tend to take on projects from £2m to £40m in London and Essex. They are looking to develop a complex projects team working on projects with values in excess of £70 Million.
The business mainly operates as a Contractor working for Private clients, local councils and housing associations (Examples include Sanctuary Housing, Peabody – Family Mosaic, Waltham Forest Council, L&Q etc.) but are currently looking to develop their own portfolio.
The Role:
Project Manager – Essex – Timber Frame
We are currently looking for a Project Manager to run and lead a 150-unit Timber Frame project in Essex. You will be the lead on this project and report directly into the Operations Manager. You will have a team of Site Managers working underneath you. After this project there will be other projects in the East London & Essex area.
Duties to include but not limited to:
* Client and professional team Management
* Risk Management
* Creating, Managing & Coordinating the programmed works.
* Procurement
* Managing Subcontractors
* Chairing and leading Design Team Meetings
* Quality Assurance – Implement strict quality control inspection plans and manage site managers to alleviate snagging
* Enforce health and safety and check method statements and risk assessments.
* Reporting to the Construction Director with weekly progress reports.
* Understanding problems and analysing and providing solutions.
* Leading teams consisting of Site Managers, Quantity Surveyors and Design Managers
