St Margaret’s Hospice Care has been at the heart of Somerset’s community for 40 years. Our dedicated teams provide high quality, compassionate care, and support to help patients, their families and carers facing a life-limiting illness. Last year we supported more than 4,900 people.

Project Support Officer
Location: Taunton/Yeovil (Hybrid home/office working model is an option)
Hours: 37 hours per week
Contract Type: 2 year fixed term post
Salary: £27,450.63 to £28,408.32 per annum
About the role
This is a great opportunity for an experienced project officer to work with St Margaret’s Hospice Executive Team to deliver a broad range of change and improvement plans aligned to the Hospice’s strategy delivering long-term financial sustainability and benefits for all stakeholders.
As project support officer you will be working closely with project teams using effective techniques to coordinate, monitor and report on different stages of the project lifecycle.
You will be accountable for including but not limited to:
* Measure project progress in line with performance indicators and project goals, providing support to enable control and completion. This includes analysis and assessment of project data, and capacity and demand data.
* Coordinate and participate as required at Executive, organisation, team or stakeholder meetings and/or workshops
* Support and facilitate the participation of any assigned project team members
* Liaise with Project Owners and the Marketing and Communications team to ensure a communication strategy is progressed for each project.
* Take a leading role in using data within projects in order to propose project measures to Project Owners
The successful candidate will have:
* Minimum three years’ experience in delivering project management support.
* Demonstrable experience of using project management tools, methodology and risk management practices.
* Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to develop relationships with a range of stakeholders.
* Good knowledge of Microsoft Office suite.
