Job Description
Teachers… are you looking for a new challenge within an Ofsted rated Good campus of PRUs in Wolverhampton?
They are home to three Pupil Referral Units. They are serving the schools in Wolverhampton as part of a city-wide strategy to promote inclusion and positive behaviour in safe, secure, child-centred, positive and nurturing environments. They pride themselves in having an ethos which is committed to striving for the highest standards in Safeguarding, SEND, Leadership and Management, Quality of Education, Behaviour and Attitudes and Personal Development all of which are underpinned by the schools Ethos : Kindness, Empathy, Honesty, Positivity, Curiosity, Resilience, Commitment and Responsibility. Lesson content and delivery needs to be engaging, to keep the students on plan. You will have at least 1 TA in the classroom with you, and strong support in behaviour management from the HoD/ SLT, from whom you will get exposure to strategies in de-escalation.
About You:
You have 6 months experience working with pupils within schools
You will have a UK QTS or equivalent
Dedicated individual with the flexibility to adapt your teaching style to meet the pupils needs
Strong curriculum knowledge
Strong behaviour management skills
Understand the importance of following safeguarding policies and procedures
