Quality Engineer required. My client is an international leader in the manufacture of polymer sealing solutions to a range of industries globally. They are now looking to expand their Midlands team with an experienced Quality Engineer. The ideal candidate will come from an established Quality assurance background, will have Aerospace experience, will have a strong understanding of quality management systems and relevant practices / legislations and will be based locally to Swadlincote.
Quality Engineer Position Overview
Ensure all quality controller and quality assurances activities are supported and reviewed in relation to improvements in efficiency and cost reduction.
Assist in maintaining accredited systems required by the business and its customers.
Ensure compliances with all system requirements, including AS92100, Health and Safety, Risk Assessments, COSHH Environmental and ISO: 14001
Carry out production assessments for all sub-contractors.
Making sure that all employees follow and adhere to all Quality standards.
Managing the internal calibration926 and audit schemes to the standards set out at the time.
Undertake and manage appraisal meetings for members of the Quality Team.
Ensure that all goods that are manufactured or received are up to company standards and customer drawings.
Support all teams in in the development of Quality related aspects of manufacturing.
Quality Engineer Position Requirements
Previous experience in a Quality Engineer role is essential.
Previous experience in an Aerospace role is essential.
Experience in the manufacture of Elastomers and Composites would be highly beneficial.
Proficient with working to ISO:9100 and ISO:14001 QMS
Proficient in the use of hand measurement tools such as Vernier's, callipers, micrometres
Any experience with CMM's would be beneficial
Based locally to Swadlincote.Quality Engineer Position Remuneration
Salary £30,000 – £35,000 DOE
Monday – Thursday 07:45 – 16:30, Friday 08:00 – 12:30
28 Days Holiday inclusive of bank holidays
