They manufacture homes in a controlled environment, removing uncertainties, improving quality and reducing costs

We are currently recruiting for a Quality Inspector to join our client's Quality team based out of their manufacturing facility in Foston, Derbyshire.

The Role:
Perform product inspections and final inspections to ensure products meet requirements.
Schedule and perform planned manufacturing in-process audits to verify compliance with the instructions/processes, they are fit for purpose and any opportunities to improve are identified.
Use controlled drawings and designs to identify conformity or deviation from desired specifications and document results.
Support the Implementation and use of quality tools such a pFMEA, control plans etc.
Support the generation of Inspection & Test Plans (ITP) based on manufacturing/product risks & criticality.
Work closely with people at all levels to ensure engagement and key risk/controls in a given area are implemented and effective.
Use inspection tools to verify conformity (i.e. Vernier's, lasers etc.)
Perform all aspects of non-conformity management
Ensure containment, correction and corrective action is performed to prevent reoccurrences and/or prevent escape to the customer
Analyse failure trends and offer solutions for improvement.
Act as a bridge between departments and quality assurance
Provide regular feedback to the Quality Manager who will use the information to adjust and regulate the process for maximum efficiency, safety, and quality of the finished goods.

Hours of work
Monday to Friday 07:30am – 3.30pm

Experience and qualifications.
Experience performing In-process inspections to manufacturing drawings
Experience in using measuring equipment.
Understanding of how to manage non-conformity
Knowledge of manufacturing/construction industries
Ability to follow technical specifications and drawings.
