Job Description
RMS are recruiting for a fast growing construction consultancy who are based in Stockton and work across the UK. They focus on projects within the commercial, leisure, industrial and residential markets. They are now looking for a Quantity Surveyor/ Cost Manager to join their team!
The Role
Liaise confidently with Clients / Consultants / Stakeholders
Production of costs plans and estimates
Co-ordination and production of tender documentations,
Providing management to a number of projects at any one time
Agree Valuations / Variations / Final accounts
Produce comprehensive progress reports
Attend and report at project progress meetings
Reporting directly to the Company DirectorsThe Person
You should have gained a Degree in Quantity Surveying
You will have a minimum 2 years' experience ideally working in a consultancy though this isn't essential
You will have experience with electronic methods of measurement and cost planning (such as CostX etc.) although this is not essential
You should have experience of measurement activities utilising SMM &, NRM1, NRM2 and CESMM3 or 4
Exposure to JCT and NEC forms of contract would be beneficial
You should have excellent communication skills
You should be confident, pro-active, have an excellent attention to detail, have a positive attitude
