R&D Engineer

Pertemps have an exciting opportunity for a postgraduate to join a growing manufacturing company based in Andover as an R&D Engineer. This position would suit a candidate who has recently finished their degree in Engineering or Physics and preferably at a Master of PhD level.

Responsibilities as a R&D Engineer:
– Support in strengthen the businesses Research and development team to help meet their short and long term strategic plans
– Assisting in the development of LED based illumination technologies to improve current products and also develop new products
– Testing new concepts for new products and enhancements
– Engaging with partnerships and new market opportunities
– Being inventive and coming up with concepts that can improve product performance
– Working with academic partners and important customers

Requirments:
– Degree in Engineering or Physics preferably a Master of PhD
– Knowledge of optics is desierable
– Have a desire and drive to develop technical solutions and products
– Can manage multiple projects
– Ability to manage workload and work to tight deadlines
– Enjoy presenting work in reports and presentations
– Are a risk taker, willing to make intelligent assumptions that can bring forward development time
