SALES EXECUTIVE / COORDINATOR
THE ROLE
Our client are seeking a Sales Executive / Coordinator to drive the growth and development of their Freight Forwarding business, by securing new profitable and sustainable business for our rapidly expanding company.
The Company
The Freight Forwarding company is striving towards providing a more innovative digitalised freight forwarding experience for their customers. They operate all modes of freight services including Ocean, Air and Road Freight services with a portfolio of inbound and outbound clients. They employ pro-active staff who work with us to achieve nonstop growth. This creates long-term prospects in a wide variety of functions-from IT Software Engineers, Logistics, Human Resources and finance functions.

The Individual
The successful candidate will be personable, confident and entrepreneurial, possessing excellent negotiation skills.
TYPICAL DAILY JOB DUTIES – WHAT ARE YOU RESPONSIBLE FOR?
– Set sales appointments, remotely or in person to orchestrate discussions around potential customer business needs
– Leverage e-mails, calls and other forms of daily communication to generate new sales leads and approach new customers
– Negotiate prices and provide customers with accurate and cost-effective quotations. Follow up on quotations and take required follow-up actions.
– Follow up and maintain relationships with existing customers
– Monitor customer retention and follow up meetings where necessary
– Resolve customer issues and queries
– Provide a high level of customer care through regular contact, obtain feedback, monitor account performance to ensure retention and growth
– Record customer details on CRM or customer database
– Prepare weekly update of sales activity to Operations Team and the Managing Director
– Achieve sales productivity and revenue targets
– Provide a high level of internal and external customer care, working closely with internal Operations team
– Leverage support from our Partners and Network
– Demonstrate ability to stay updated on all current market knowledge and be able to communicate such factors to customers
– Constantly develop the sales strategy to remain aligned with current market conditions and other affecting factors
PERSON SPECIFICATION
– Proven track record of sales success with sound knowledge of sales processes and customer retention skills.
– Able to present and communicate effectively with a strong focus on excellent customer service and relationship building skills with customers
– A minimum of 3 years' experience in the freight forwarding industry is essential
– Sounds knowledge of operational processes from start to finish which can be clearly explained to potential and existing clients
– Ability to quote all types of cargo from general to out of gauge
– Keen eye for industries and job types that are viable for the company and would be relevant to pursue
– Good verbal and written communication, to provide a professional image to customers
– Strong organisation and self-management skills
– Someone who likes a challenge and is looking for a long-term career

– Salary negotiable circa £25,000 to £35,000 dependant on experience
