Job Description
Are you an experienced seamstress with good knowledge of dress and costume making? Do you have fantastic attention to detail? Read on to find out about a fantastic opportunity.
Main Duties:
* Creating costumes and dresses to a high standard to be used for dancers
* Use hand sewing techniques along with machine techniques
* Facilitate dress fittings for dress owners
* Carry out measurements accurately on customers
* Work with a variety of different fabrics and materials well
* Use existing patterns and possibly create new patterns for dresses
Personal Attributes:
* Extensive experience in previous tailor/seamstress roles
* Great knowledge of dress and costume making
* Ability to work in a busy factory setting
* Confident and ability to use hand and machine techniques
* Confident and able to work with a variety of different materials and fabrics
Remuneration & Conditions of Assignment:
* Full-Time – temporary ongoing
* 40 hours per week – Monday to Friday
* £10.50 – £11.50 negotiable depending on experience
