Fantastic opportunity for a dynamic, enthusiastic, and highly professional Senior Compliance Officer to join a large, successful, and well reputed Finance business in West Malling. The company are going through a massive period of transformation and it's a great time to join them and really make a difference.
The ideal candidate will ideally have previous experience working within the Financial Services industry; however, they are prepared to train experienced Compliance candidates on areas they are needing skilling up on.
Duties include, but not limited to:
Ensuring adherence to regulatory and legislative requirements, internal policies, processes, procedures, and requirements through compliance monitoring.
Undertaking deep dive assessments on key areas
Horizon Scanning, identifying, and interpreting regulatory change and requirements
Providing regulatory advice and guidance to Senior Management and other colleagues
Senior Managers Regime – support the business with meeting our regulatory obligations
Undertake regulatory horizon scanning.
Provide and manage advice to the business on the regulatory compliance for new projects, annual reviews, marketing, and new products
Maintain Policy Approval Schedule
Maintain Regulatory Tracker of all actions/correspondence requiring a response to the regulators
Ensure regulatory reporting is completed and submitted accurately Risk Management Process.
Oversee and support in the event of incidents or control breakdowns
To oversee the implementation and embedding of the conduct risk framework
Comply with the FCA and PRA conduct rules
To bring to the early attention to where breaches of relevant legislation and regulations are suspectedThe successful candidate will have:
Significant compliance experience gained ideally in the financial industry, however will consider other industries
Understanding of Compliance planning and monitoring
Understanding of risk methodologies and risk related control frameworks
Knowledge of FCA and PRA rules and regulatory requirements (Ideal, however will train)
The ability to communicate effectively all all levels
IT skills including the use of Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
