Senior Data Analyst

Our Project Intelligence and Project Controls team are expanding beyond project reporting traditional tools and techniques, leveraging data analytics, machine learning, and artificial intelligence to support our clients.
We are looking for people to join our team who are passionate about improving the way we deal with and extract value from data helping to solve complex data problems and develop innovative solutions to extract insights from our data and ensure outstanding data management.
Senior Data Analyst Role:
The purpose of the role is to provide high-quality BI solutions focused on the financial and delivery performance of large engineering projects. working alongside industry professionals to help clients make the most of their data and support the delivery of infrastructure schemes that will bring real benefits to people and communities.
The primary responsibilities of the role are:
* Work closely with clients, gathering requirements and translating them, to deliver Power BI solutions
* Design and develop effective dashboard UX and designs, with utilisation of Power BI navigation features, to ensure optimal user experience and that accessibility requirements are met
* Ingest data from a variety of data sources and performing required transformations using Power Query
* Demonstrate data modelling capabilities including designing effective BI data models
* Continuously improve the quality of our services in Power BI through development of best practice and training.
Experience:
* An understanding of Artificial Intelligence / Machine Leading and the benefits to our clients.
* Knowledge of additional languages, such as SQL and Python, to improve efficiency throughout a range of processes
* Wider knowledge of the Power Platform including Power Apps, Power Automate, Data Verse etc.
* Power BI custom visual development.
* Good technical knowledge of a range of software platforms, databases, and tools
* Experience preparing data for analytics and following a data science process
* Experience participating in workshops to identify and define user requirements
* Project delivery experience in the built infrastructure
* Experience in a consultancy environment: ability to work with uncertainty, methodical problem-solving approach, framing complex ideas, and thinking strategically.
* Excellent presentation and interpersonal skills.
* Excellent time management skills and ability to prioritise.
* A passion for quality and continuous improvement with a focus on delivery.
