Job Description
CK Group are recruiting for a Senior Scientist Materials Characterisation to join a company in the Pharmaceutical industry at their site based in Hurley on a contract basis for 12 months.
Salary:
Up to £24.85ph PAYE and £27.85ph Umb

Senior Scientist Materials Characterisation Role:
Responsible for project planning, interactions with other site colleagues and customers, attending project discussions and authoring technical reports.
Apply a variety of physical and chemical property characterisation techniques with a focus on drug product characterisation which will include chemical imaging, materials assessment and solid-form characterisation.
Apply scientific knowledge and sound research principles to perform characterisation studies to address manufacturing challenges and enhance process understanding.
Conduct high quality laboratory experiments, data interpretation, timely and comprehensive laboratory notebook write-ups and author technical reports.
Ensure compliance with appropriate documentation (SOPs, instruction manuals, risk assessments, etc.) so that all experimental activities are conducted in accordance with approved safety and quality procedures.
Your Background:
Educated to degree level or above pharmaceutical sciences or a related field with proven relevant experience.
Demonstrated experience in commercial / customer facing roles across the business.
Knowledge of the workings of pharmaceutical manufacturing, and associated processes and experience working in Pharmaceutical Good Manufacturing Practices {also cGMP} environment.
Pro-active with a creative, entrepreneurial attitude with evidence of ability to execute key projects.
Excellent oral and written communication skills and proficiency with computer and software applications
