Senior UX / UI Designer
A global powerhouse within the Wealth Management and Professional Services industry are looking for a Senior UX / UI Designer to join their team in London on an initial 6 month fixed term contract, with the view to extend or make the role permanent. The successful candidate will be able to work remotely 3-4 times each week.
Job purpose – UX & UI Design
Using personas and other tools for human centered design, play a lead role in information architecture, designing user flows and interaction journeys, and creating prototypes for testing and iteration (UX). Also play a lead role in determining how users interact with our product and defining the user interface from a visual design perspective.
Key Responsibilities
Create user-centered designs by understanding business requirements, the voice of the customer, user journeys, customer feedback, and usability findings
Quickly and iteratively create user flows, wireframes, prototypes, low and high fidelity mockups
Communicate with product and engineering teams, as well as business stakeholders and executive leadership
Ensure the voice of the customer is present by incorporating tools like personas, customer feedback, usage metrics, and usability findings into design
Own the UI and make decisions on design elements such as font choice, colour scheme, graphics, buttons, and menu styling and all other elements of interface design.
Performing metrics analysis post-launch to inform design/UX optimization efforts
Experience designing apps and knowledge of all app store guidelinesKey Skills and Experience Required
7-10 years of broader industry work experience + minimum 3-5 years of proven relevant experience e.g. user journeys, from wireframes to prototyping and usertesting
A portfolio with examples of your work
Possess excellent communication, presentation, collaboration, and interpersonal skills
Ability to design user experience and interactions effectively and be open to feedback and optimization.
Expert communication skills and working with large stakeholders teams
Expertise in all areas of user design (IA, UX, UI, content UX, end design)
Good working knowledge of industry tools e.g. invision, sketch, zeppelin, Abstract, Adobe etc.
Know how to use collaboration and design tools such as Figma, Miro, JIRA or equivalent
Familiar with pattern and component libraries, design systems, styleguides etc.
Interpersonal: Communication, empathy, curiosity and flexibility
