ServiceNow Lead

Our Global Technology (GT) team is at the heart of our business and responsible for developing and delivering our IT Strategy, managing our data, managing change programmes, developing and implementing software solutions, as well as maintaining the integrity and performance of our systems, infrastructure and applications. The role of GT is increasingly pivotal to the success of the business, and we aim to deliver both the innovation and responsiveness needed in today’s competitive and fast-changing investment and regulatory landscape. GT also ensures that our services and solutions are seamlessly aligned across our global platforms to enable every aspect of our business to operate smoothly and efficiently.

Role Purpose

The ServiceNow Development Lead will be responsible for the control and governance of all ServiceNow development activities to include both internally focused and managed service activities. Additionally, you will act as Lead Design/Architect for the ServiceNow platform across any functions that use or interact with the platform.

Key Outcomes

The ServiceNow Development Lead’s responsibilities may include, but are not limited to the following:

· Design Oversight – provide oversight and governance of all development work. Act as lead architect/designer on any internal change project that is building on or interfacing to the platform.

· Lead Development – lead any build/configuration work that comes from internal projects. Direct other development resources either from internal teams, managed service teams or implementation partners

· Training, Transition and Comms – Keep business and affected 1st line support teams aware of impact of forthcoming change projects, providing training and creating/updating user/support documentation where suitable. Training support functions/toolset technical stakeholders who are new to the business and affected by Change.

· Improvements/Changes – Consider the impact of change on business’ ability to operate, mitigating risks by effective planning and communication. Tracking changes through the Software Development Lifecycle to ensure that only the correct, accurate and fit for purpose changes reach the Production environment.

· Design and Transition of projects – approves all development/project changes moving through the design and transition phases. Regular member of the CAB.

· Stakeholder Management – Keeping key business Stakeholders informed and ensuring their concerns and needs are addressed.

Required Skills & Experience

· The candidate must have an up to date ServiceNow Certification (e.g. Developer, Advanced System Administration, Certified System Administrator, etc.).

· Demonstrable experience in service management methodologies including ITIL, business process re-engineering and/or quality initiatives.

· Demonstrable experience in ServiceNow development and administration with proven track record in the design and development of complex, project-scale implementations.

· In depth experience with ServiceNow CMDB/ CSDM and Discovery, ITSM, Service Portal, Service Catalogue, Performance Analytics and reporting.

· Experience with some or all of the following modules: ITBM (SPM), ITOM Event Management, SAM, IRM and APM.

· Knowledge of helpdesk and change control industry and related business management applications.

· Expert level in development practices.

· Working knowledge of relational databases.

· Knowledge of LDAP/Active Directory.

Desired Skills & Qualifications

· It is desired that the candidate has ITIL V4 Foundation Certification.

· It is desired that the candidate has an understanding and experience with agile software development methodologies.

It is desired that the candidate has an understanding, or prior experience meeting, FCA regulatory requirements for Operational Resilience
