SGC Security Services are looking for SIA Licensed Security Officers with excellent customer service skills to work on an ad hoc basis that could potentially go full-time.
The role is heavily customer service orientated therefore strong verbal communication skills are essential.

The ideal candidate for this SIA Licensed Security Officer role will have a positive can-do attitude, must have an SIA Licence, works well in a team, and can adapt to periods of busy days while continuing to give impeccable customer service. Many roles require the ability to stand for a long period of time.
SGC Security Services is hiring a team of SIA Licensed Officers to work at a new energy construction site in Redcar.
The contract is initially for 154 weeks but will possibly extend. The team will consist of 8 new team members working a shift pattern of nights and days, possibly 4 on 4 off.
There are 2 main duties at this new site:
Duty 1 is to control the entry and egress of visitors and construction traffic, including booking in both people and vehicles and ensuring all visitors complete their site induction.
Duty 2 is to patrol the site in an electric vehicle and ensure the integrity of the site perimeter is maintained.
During your 12 hours shift you will rotate between Duty 1 and Duty 2.Examples of duties and responsibilities:
Duty 1
Book in vehicles issue VAP
Book in individuals issue site badge
Conduct site H&S induction
Book vehicles out conduct random searches
Book individuals out
Sign for deliveries
Liaise with site managers to verify visitors etc
Completing site Daily Occurrence Book (DOB)
Complete incident formsDuty 2
Patrol site perimeter in car maintaining perimeter integrity
Ensure vehicles are keeping to site speed limit
Assist the gateman at peak times with booking and vehicle searches
Complete electronic patrol forms

Essential Skills
Due to the nature of the contract, you must:
Hold a valid SIA license.
As part of the role is driving a vehicle around site you must hold a full UK driving license with no more than 6 points on your license
You must be polite, well presented, well-spoken, friendly, and yet assertive as you will be required to interact with the visitors to the site including delivery drivers, client representatives, and construction staff.
You will need excellent communication, radio, and report writing skills to assist you with your day-to-day duties to deliver excellent guarding and security services in accordance with our contract requirements.
At times this will be a very demanding role, where working as a team is imperative, the workload at certain points of the day will be very high and the ability to remain calm and focused is essential.
