Job Description

Solutions Architect with a go-getter investigative mindset, proven architectural approach and low-level design capability is required for a Pan-European Data Centre migration project involving new Enterprise Class core IT infrastructure and Cisco Network technologies for our European FMCG/Retail Client.

This position would suit Solution Architects, Infrastructure Architects, Technical Architects or Network Architects with proven experience of network focused projects requiring IT/Telecom vendor management to deliver the technical components for similar projects such as: Data Centre Consolidations or Virtualisations, Cisco Network upgrades or Consolidations, Physical LAN/WAN or Virtual IT Network upgrades etc.

The successful Solutions Architect must have the desire to go out and investigate the As-Is Pan-European landscape to gain an understanding of the unknown, compare with the UK requirements and to produce (LLD) low level design documentation. Also, to work collaboratively with IT functions within each country and the IT/Telecom vendors to design and build the To-Be solutions.

Although Solutions Architects will be selected based on having the right architectural approach and discipline, it is expected that Architects will have a very good understanding of IT Networking Technology/Solutions, if not already an SME in this field.

Solutions Architects must have proven IT and business stakeholder engagement, vendor engagement and soft interpersonal skills with the ability to navigate through technical and non-technical environments to properly investigate and document As-Is and To-Be environments.

Solutions Architects must be skilled in producing both HLD and LLD (high level and low level) design documentation and have a proven understanding of all the elements and Tiers that need to be brought together to build solutions, using existing company frameworks and processes.

1 Year Fixed Term Contract + Extensions, full remote working from the UK, Ireland, Netherlands, Germany, Poland, Italy, Prague, or Bulgaria
