Supply Teacher in the Newcastle/Gateshead/North Tyneside and Northumberland area variety of roles
Teaching Personnel are looking for a Supply Teacher who is confident within a classroom setting and has an outgoing and professional manner who is able to provide general cover within the classroom in Secondary Schools around North East area Teaching Personnel are able to offer a variety of part-time/full-time roles within the North East . We require a lot of cover within a variety of subjects, so somebody who is flexible and willing to turn their hand to different challenges is the ideal candidate for this role.
The role of a supply teacher is to help the running of a school by ensuring that their student’s learning is not disrupted. In most cases, the work will all be prepared in advance for you and you will need to deliver this to the class and ensure that behaviour management protocols are followed. If you have QTS in a specific subject then we can earmark you for these roles which will involve added responsibility and equally more pay (details of this are below).
Pay for general Supply Cover with little responsibility: £110 – £130 per day
Pay for subject specific teacher with QTS: £110 – £150 per day
Pay for unqualified teacher (Cover Supervisor): £70 – £85 per day
If you have experience of working with children before (perhaps through Youth Work or a voluntary role) then we are still able to offer you work within schools – this is known as a Cover Supervisor (pay listed above) and involves no planning, marking or assessment work. In order to register with Teaching Personnel, you will need (or be willing to apply for) a Child Only DBS that is then registered on the Update Service.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
