Job Description
Teaching Assistant needed for client school in the South Manchester area, this is a full-time role in one of our closest using secondary schools. This position must be filled by October and will run until the end of the academic year in July. This is a great opportunity to work in an Ofsted good school, for those with experience looking for a change in scenery or those looking to get their start in a career in education.

Pay: £10 – £14 per hour

Our client is a large, mixed 11 – 16 secondary school, they are looking for someone who is passionate about helping and developing young people into young adults who are a credit to the community. The role of a Teaching Assistant benefits from having different challenges each day, you will support students in the classroom who are struggling to grasp some new work that has been set, listen and give advice to pupils who are worried about things in their school life or provide 1:1 support to name just a few examples of things you will be doing in your new role.
Other roles and responsibilities in your new role:
Take part in regular CPD training, to consistently improve as an educator
Always uphold school standards, particularly those regarding behaviour and bullying
Help raise student attainment across all ability levels
Work with teaching and leadership staff to help identify those who would benefit from receiving extended support
Adapt your teaching to accommodate students with different learning styles
Our client is very proud of the high quality, inclusive provision that they provide for students with Special Educational Needs, a big part of your new role will be to give support to pupils with additional needs. These SEN requirements could be associated with learning or behaviour, you will be supporting students with Autism, ADHD and Dyslexia to name a few examples.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
