Vacancy – Technical Product Manager
Industry – Location – South West London / Surrey borders – KT postcode
Salary – up to £35K per annum
Working hours – 8am start with an early finish on Fridays
Our client is a manufacturer that provides electrical testing and measurement equipment and component parts to the electrical wholesale market.
They are recruiting for a Technical Support Co-Ordinator to join the business to provide Customer and Product Support through delivery of technical support for their product range over the phone and via email.
Job Responsibilities:
Provide technical advice to customers on the product range over the phone or email as part of the technical support desk.
Proof reading of technical documents keeping up to date with regulations regarding test equipment and the wider electrical industry
Investigate customer concerns.
Performs product testing in line with new product developments.
Learns new products
Demonstrating products to electricians and electrical contractors
Attending 8 trade shows a year in the UK with the Sales Manager (all expenses paid)
Qualifications
At least 2 years experience and knowledge of working as an electrician or electrical engineer
Technical Knowledge:
Technical knowledge of electrical testing and measurement equipment
Technical/Engineering approach to problem solving.
IT literate – good experience using Microsoft Office packages.
Understanding of IET regulations
17th / 18th edition trained
Soft Skills:
Excellent listening and questioning skills, combined with the ability to interact confidently with clients to establish what the problem is and explain the solution.
Clear communication skills
Ability to empathise and diffuse difficult situations
Training and Travel:
Training will be provided – some of which will be with product managers at Head Office (in Europe) so a valid passport will be essential
Travel to trade shows will also be required – there are 8 ELEX trade shows in the UK – all expenses will be paid
Salary offered will be up to £35K per annum
20 days holiday + bank holidays
The business is closed between Christmas and New Year for about 10 – 12 days – this is extra to your holiday entitlement
