About the role
Nexperia is a global semiconductor manufacturer delivering over 10% of the world’s semiconductor product, creating 100 billion devices per annum that go into products such as mobile phones and cars. We are currently undergoing site expansion and are looking to recruit a Total Chemical Management Technician to strengthen our TCGM Group.
As Total Chemical Management Technician you will form part of an established team and will work on the chemicals, plumbing and piping that support the fab tools that work on a 24-7 basis. This is a vital role performing key maintenance and installations on the UKs largest semiconductor site. This role is ideal for a person with a background in engineering on a mechanical or electrical bias. Alternatively experience in working with boilers, liquid flow and complex plumbing would also be relevant. This is an interesting role working within a fast paced manufacturing environment undergoing expansion.
What you will do
* Ensure Chemical stocks and storage are maintained correctly and monitored for stock levels and stock rotation
* Track quality and reliability performance of equipment and systems
* Maintain housekeeping and 6S standards in all areas of responsibility
* Support the qualification of new direct chemical materials, and equipment brought to site
* Ensure KPI’s are met whilst supporting all upcoming projects regarding installation of new tools and machinery
* Ensure preventative and reactive maintenance is carried out in a responsible and timely fashion
* Undertake root cause investigations using 8D system
* Promote Total Quality Management and Continuous Improvement Activities
Essential Criteria:
* B-Tec ONC in an engineering discipline.
* Background in electrical or mechanical engineering
* Experience in working with plumbing or boilers, liquid flow or similar
Desirable Skills Include:
* Chemical awareness/Handling.
* Comprehension of gas and chemical requirements.
* IOSHH. COSHH Assessments.
