Job Description
New GLASGOW based Transport Management role working for an expanding Express Road Haulage Service and European Road Freight Business in Full Load and Express Dedicated Van Services.
The core mission of the Owner Driver Manager is to is to increase revenue by building a network of Owner Drivers for UK wide General Haulage by FTL and Port Haulage FCL ex Grangemouth and Greenock.
The Owner Driver Manager will be expected to source new owner drivers, negotiate rates, maintain relationships and ensure customers are happy with the level of service they receive. Booking collections and deliveries via VBS will be part of their role initially. Customer contact is mainly via telephone and email.
The Ideal Candidate will already have an established network of reliable haulage contacts who they can call upon to set up our Port Haulage service. They will be good with technology as they will be responsible for keeping our system it up to date, ensuring everything is booked and invoiced in a timely manner.
Starting Salary will be between £30-£35,000 with a net profit share of 20% from day 1. The plan is to get up and running then build a team under the chosen candidate giving them their own branch to manage. Assuming targets are exceeded after year one the successful candidate will receive shares in the new business
