The Welfare Coordinator Role is considered a junior role, set up to encourage individuals new to the sector and/or for those who want to develop their career within the homeless charity sector.
C4WS first opened its doors in January 2005, when a group of 7 churches took turns in providing free shelter and food for thirteen of the coldest weeks of the year. As the years progressed our project has grown to incorporate 13 churches from within the Borough of Camden who continue to offer shelter to our guests for 5 months of the year.

As the Welfare Coordinator, you will provide holistic welfare support to guests across C4WS’ projects, providing them with a journey of hope to home. You will directly support the guests of C4WS Shelter both during and after their stay. You will work alongside C4WS volunteers, staff, and management to achieve the successful and smooth running of the shelter. As the Welfare Coordinator, it is important to be present and help at shelter shifts when scheduled. This role will include evening and weekend shifts during the 5 months Shelter period. In addition to shelter responsibilities, it will be your responsibility to organise and co-ordinate the operational delivery of the C4WS Home from Home hosting scheme. This is considered a junior role with the flexibility for future career progression. Contract is for 1 year, with view to extend.
