Young Person Support Worker Job in Willington, County Durham
Job Description
We Care Bespoke are looking for outreach support workers to work with a young person in the Willington area. Up to 16 hours per week supporting the YP after school between the hours of 15:30-19:30 (these hours can be subject to change)
A has autism and learning difficulties, and they are looking for strong and experienced staff to take them out in to the community for various different activities in order to promote independence and social skills. A responds well to guidance and boundaries, and requires strong, confident, positive staff to reinforce these. A can display challenging behaviour, however responds positively with the right team of people around them.
Essential criteria:
• 6 months experience working within a similar role either in community, residential or schools
• Be able to support with potentially challenging behaviors within the environment and in the community
• You must have the right to work in the UK and have a valid UK driving licence
Desirable criteria
• NVQ level 3 or equivalent in Health and Social Care or willingness to undertake training to achieve this
