Job Description

Job Title: CNC Miller Setter/Operator

Shift:

Continental Shifts; 06:00 – 18.00 Monday to Thursday with a 20 minute unpaid break at 12.00

OR

18.00 to 06.00 Monday to Thursday with a 20 minute unpaid break at 12.00

OR

35 Hour Shift 06.00 – 18.00 Friday – Sunday with a 20 minute unpaid break at 12.00

Location: Leicester – LE3

Hourly Rate: £13.75 – £15.50 per hour

The Role:

Our client have vacancies within their CNC Milling Department and are currently recruiting for Setter/Operator – CNC Millers operating either a DMU 100 or Mazak Milling machines.

Duties include:

To produce precision machined components to customer and quality specified tolerances using best practise modern methods.

*Use and control of CNC programs.

*Read and understand CNC code to the level required for machine set up and operation.

*Understand all set up parameters and the effect they have on the process, e.g., datum setting and tool length and wear offsets.

*Set up machines with the required work holding and tooling.

*Responsible for setting and operating a Mazak Megaturn Vertical Turning Centre

*Responsible for quality output

*Responsible for Total Preventative Maintenance (TPM)

*Using measuring equipment such as micro meters, Vernier Callipers, Height Towers, Shadow Graphs, CMM etc.

*To perform other such duties as required.

The candidate:

*5 years' experience in the Aerospace/Automotive Industry in a similar role

*Apprentice trained – Preferred

*Working with SOPs and Company specific documentation

*Self-driven, results orientated, with a positive outlook

*Reliable, tolerant and determined

*Open to new experiences, responsibility and accountability

*Work amongst a team.

*Attention to detail.

*Working to deadlines

*Excellent communication skills

*Managing workload effectively, prioritising where necessary
