Job Description

Our high end client in the automotive industry is currently recruiting a Data Protection Advisor in Dunton**

INSIDE IR35

Umbrella/PAYE rate available

Umbrella rate £29p/h

Position Description:
• Data Protection Advisor
• Support the DP team to build, develop and further enhance internal processes and protocols to manage data risk and promote data governance, compliance and assurance.
• Provide prompt, accurate and up to date advice to projects, initiatives and BAU tasks.
• Promote and enhance cross-team collaboration between the Clients’ Credit and Europe to support the Clients’ data protection objectives and overall compliance programmes
• Undertake and support the organisation in the completion of mandatory compliance activities (e.g. DPIAs, Register of Data Processing Activities)
• Review and put in place data processing agreements

Skills Required:
• Significant practical and advisory experience in the area of European data privacy and a good understanding of the GDPR and its implications, either within a large organisation or having managed a substantiality large volume of personal data.
• Project management experience.
• Strong stakeholder management skills
• Word, Excel and PowerPoint skills

Skills Preferred:
• Experience of contract management for data protection agreements with third parties

Experience Required:
• 2-3 years’ experience acting as a privacy SME

Experience Preferred:
• Experience advising companies on ePrivacy Directive (the `cookie law)

Education Required:
• Privacy Certification (e.g. CIPP/E)
