Design Technology Teaching Assistant

Qualiteach is working with a SEMH School in Merton, who is looking for a Design Technology Teaching Assistant who can start immediately on a full-time basis. You will be required to support 8 students within the classroom supporting them during their Design Technology lessons, this will include designing, planning and creating sculptures and figures. All the students you will be supporting will have some form of Social, Emotional and Mental Health Needs. Due to their needs their behaviour can become quite challenging. Therefore, the ideal Design Technology Teaching Assistant for this role will need to have a passion for Design Technology and be willing to learn new skills and take direction from other members of staff.

SEMH School

This SEMH School is located in the borough of Merton and caters for students aged between 11-16 years with Social, Emotional and Mental Health Needs. They currently have 100 students who attend and in their last Ofsted in May 2018, they were reviewed as 'Good' in all areas.
