Job Description
FINTEC recruit is excited to share this opportunity of Design Engineering Manager for our electronics manufacturing client based south of Edinburgh. This is a permanent role with salary negotiable depending on experience and flexible working. You will be leading a multi-disciplinary design team made up of mechanical, electronic and software design disciplines. You will also be a hands on manager, taking products from conception through to design, prototyping, testing, engineering to approvals and support. Flexible working can be discussed.
Responsibilities include:
Creating project plans and technical specifications.
Project managing, setting team priorities and timescales.
Mentoring and motivating team members.
Designing electronic & embedded software.
Product validation including testing.
Compliance with Quality procedures.
Product documentation and New Product Introduction information for production. Skills and experience required for the Design Engineering Manager
Electronics/Engineering degree.
Experience in management projects and teams.
Hardware design (analogue and digital).
Design using microcontrollers.
Embedded firmware development in C.
