Job Description
Our client based in Basildon is looking for an Export Operator to join their growing team on a permanent basis to look after multi-modal freight operations in Air, Ocean and Road. Ideally our client would prefer someone with previous experience, however they are prepared to train an enthusiastic individual with a keen interest to work in the Freight industry.
Duties involved for the Export Operator role:-
Liaising with internal and external customers on a daily basis providing quotes, arrange bookings, managing transport and providing excellent customer service standards.
Planning against shipping and despatch schedules during busy periods and holidays to ensure services are maintained as required.
Liaising with overseas offices and partners to arrange the clearance and delivery for shipments.
Communicating with drivers/ hauliers in road freight Imports or exports in conjunction with other colleagues, planning collections or deliveries to meet the customers or their customers' needs or requirements to the best effective use of all resources available.
Updating internal operating systems with all milestones, File closing cost/sales invoices to be generated within same week of delivery.Requirements for the Export Operator role:-
Knowledge of Inco terms and each explanation along with creating documents for customers such as COO, EUR1 and insurance is preferred but not required.

The working hours are 8.30am to 5.30pm Monday to Friday
