Job Description
Lloyd Recruitment Services are working with a leading media and events company based on the outskirts of East Grinstead who are looking for a creative mid-level Magazine Designer to join a busy in-house creative department producing a wide range of market leading publications, events, and digital platforms.
The role:
* 50% of the role will be on magazine layout /editorial design – ensuring each individual publication style is followed
* 50 % all other design aspects within the department
* Event marketing design and creation of in house campaigns
* In house advert design for all publications, annuals, show catalogues and ad hoc projects
* Social media design /campaigns
* Media pack design
* Digital content including email campaign design
Experience required:
* Proven experience within a previous magazine designer role
* Solid background in layout/design of editorial pages in a busy studio environment
* Hands on experience in designing marketing collateral for events, company marketing material including media packs etc
* Email creation/design (HTML/CSS) – desirable
* Video content/design – desirable
* Social media graphics and design experience
* Webinar experience – using the likes of Premier Pro to insert content – desirable
* Ability to be creative and be involved with magazine redesigns
* Previous experience designing adverts for clients/ in house promotion
* Keen eye for detail
* Solid IT skills using a wide range of design platforms (including the likes of ; InDesign or Quark, Photoshop, Premier Pro …)
The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 3 + years' experience working within a fast-paced production environment and be happy equally splitting time between editorial layout and all other design projects.
