Events Operations Manager
Location: London
Salary: £40K
We have an exciting opportunity for a dynamic Operations Manager. Our client is looking for an organised and pro-active individual who can fit into their busy and hardworking team working across their events.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage the operational delivery of a number of medium – large events in the UK and Europe from conception to completion
Manage event operations budgets, future planning & forecasting in line with budget
Supplier sourcing, contract negotiation and management of relationships with venues and suppliers
Knowledge and understanding of venue contract and terms and conditions terminology
Working with contractors, exhibitors and the Event Manager to ensure the onsite build and breakdown complies with all Health and Safety regulations and venue regulations
Maintenance of health and safety decisions
Liaise with the event team including production, marketing, sales, and finance to ensure maximum awareness of all event elements
Ensure the show is built to the correct plan and specifications; in close liaison with key contractors
Managing contractors and suppliers pre show, on-site and post event
Managing appropriate staffing levels during the exhibition
Confident in dealing with customer data and familiarity with data privacy regulations such as GDPR
Available to travel worldwide
Experience:
Experience in the exhibition industry
Proven experience of creating and managing event operations budget, future planning, forecasting and delivering on target
Experience in organising a large scale event
Experience in managing numerous contracts on an event
Understanding of operational, venue and local authority procedures
Ability to meet deadlines and resolve problems under pressure
Health and Safety
Experience of using digital event platforms
Familiar with the e-Guide & g-Guide and experience of managing onsite Health & Safety
Health & Safety Course qualification – preferably IOSH Managing Safely
Flexible approach to working hours – working weekends and evenings when required onsite
