Marsworth, Bucks
£45,000-£50,000
Monday to Friday on days with early finish Friday
TXM Recruit are partnering up with are global multi-site business that manufacture across several packaging product categories, supplying into strong markets within pharmaceuticals, medical devices and FMCG.
As the Production Manager you will take the lead for the site in managing all aspects of the production and warehousing and guiding a long established and experinced team of 21 (production operatives, planner, tooling and warehousing). This is an excellent time to join the business, with their industry continuing to grow and with the site enjoying recent investment- you will have immediate projects supporting the integration of new tooling & equipment into your production processes.
Production Manager Responsibilities:
Managing production targets to meet growing customer orders, delivering on despatch times, whilst ensuring on highest standards for Safety and Quality
Partner with Regulatory Affairs to resolve any customer complaints or regulatory issues.
Manage, monitor & improve the production processes/ systems to maximise productivity
Structure the resource requirements to meet the production schedule
Develop the team performance and relationships and partner with other departments
Drive a program of Continuous Improvementwithin the production process, using relevant methodologies, to improve efficiencies whilst ensuring high quality products are consistently produced and production costs are controlled
Measurables:
All Production KPIs are met and reported in a timely manner
Quality & safety requirements are met
Overall Equipment Efficiency requirements of the machines are met
Timely resolution of all operational customer complaints
Direct labour and overtime costs are kept within budget
Previous experience and qualifications:
Required
At least 2-3 years’ experience within a production leadership role (manager, shift manager, cell leader, team leader, supervisor)
Experience of implementing Continuous Improvements/Lean/5S (yellow, green or black belt not required)
Knowledge of OEE (Overall Equipment Efficiency)
Experience of following quality guidelines and controls
Previous manufacturing/ production backgroundDesirable
Educated to Degree level desirable but NOT essential
Experience with Oracle
NEBOSH or IOSH Safety Qualification
Lean Six Sigma Qualification
Degree qualification can be supported by the business.
Site based, Monday to Friday 40 hour week, with early finish on Fridays.
