Are you a Psychology graduate looking for a part-time or full-time role in Education?
Daily rate: £70-£85 per day
Working hours: 8.30am – 3.30pm
At Teaching Personnel, we are working closely with secondary schools across the Teesside area with support staff vacancies. Many of our client schools have shown an interest in Psychology graduates for these roles, as they often have an interest in behaviour supported by academic theory, but also understand the importance of both well-being and additional learning needs. These type of roles provide the opportunity to gain first-hand experience in a school setting for future career progression into teaching or working with children and young people.
The ideal Psychology graduate will:
Communicate effectively with other staff and students, monitoring developments and progress
Be composed, sometimes managing challenging behaviour and situations
Transfer skills and theory to a practical school environment and have a genuine interest – potentially considering a future career working with young people and/or SEMH
Be a positive role model with a proactive and confident approach
Work on a 1:1 basis with students who require additional support
Provide general classroom support
Be patient and understanding of the students’ needs and circumstances
No prior experience required – just a willingness to get involved in the classroom setting.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
