Job Description
We are looking to recruit a SEN Teaching Assistant. The role is term time only over 39 weeks.
Main Duties
* You will be required to deliver the highest quality of education, care and preparation for all students
* Contribute to the whole school’s planning of activities – with an emphasis on delivering the curriculum through the environment.
* Experienced teaching and learning both indoors and outdoors
* Create learning in a fun and happy way
* Thinking of ways to learn through stimulating the mind
* Lesson Planning and objectives to contribute to learning
Person Spec
* Experience working with pupils on the Autistic spectrum is desirable
* Proven experience of working with children in an educational setting
* Experience working with young people with special education needs or additional learning difficulties would be advantageous
* A good level of Maths and English
* Level 3 in supporting teaching and learning in schools is an advantage
* Higher level Teaching Assistant (TA4 / HLTA) is desirable
The position is subject to an Enhanced DBS disclosure.
Salary: £18.5-23K per annum DOE
Hours: 37.5 hours Term Time only – 39 weeks per year
