TeacherActive are looking for SEND TA / SEND Teaching Assistant in the Wetherby/Thorpe Arch area to have the opportunity to work in one of our Special schools. This school ethos centres around working together to communicate, learn, enjoy, and achieve, if this sounds like the kind on environment you would like to work in this may be the school for you!

We are looking for SEND TA / SEND Teaching Assistant to cover long-term placements supporting children with their education. This is a great chance to have flexible work that fits around you, help you gain experience to add to your portfolio and keep everyday exciting!
The ideal SEND TA / SEND Teaching Assistant should have the following:
Level 2 or 3 qualified and/or a minimum of 6 months experience in an educational establishment
De-escalation training such as CPI (formerly MAPA), Team- Teach or PRICE
A calm, patient, and caring persona
Good communication skills
A good understanding of child protection and safeguarding guidelines
Experience in working with supporting SEND students in their education on a 1:1 and a small group basis
