Senior Planning Engineer – SME PM Consulting Firm

Up to £97,500 plus excellent benefits package

We have an extremely rare role to join an established, quality-focused PM consulting firm as a Senior Planning Engineer – the first time that they have recruited for this role in ten years!! Working across the Corporate Occupier, Residential, Leisure, Commercial Offices and Hotels sectors, our client boasts an extremely high repeat business ratio with a portfolio of prestigious customers in both the UK and overseas. Involved in numerous iconic projects over the years, they are an employee-focused business and have an absurdly low staff-turnover rate compared to competitors in the market.

Reporting directly to the Managing Director, you’ll be responsible for planning and programming on various schemes worth circa £50m+. The majority of the role will be working closely with Project Managers on existing schemes but there may be some tender work involved (max 20% of the role, if that); on a daily basis you’ll be responsible for creating detailed programmes, monitoring/reporting, engaging with key stakeholders and troubleshooting as the “planning expert”. You’ll get a great level of exposure within the business and take the lead on major projects – this is a great role if you’ve always been intrigued in working in a consulting environment.

Ideally, you will have the following experience:

* Significant experience as Planner on UK construction-related schemes, (ideally at least £50m+ projects).

* Consultancy or Main Contractor background considered.

* Relevant construction/engineering degree desirable.

* Positive, engaging individual, capable of working in a client-facing environment.

* Eligible to work in the UK.

Our client is offering a basic salary of between £80-97,500 per annum plus an excellent benefits package for this role which comprises travel allowance, bonus, 30 days annual leave, family medical insurance and a variety of flexi benefits.
