The Team
The Senior Data Engineer will work within Data Architecture + Engineering. The role of the team is to deliver data-centric solutions using a consistent, accelerated, efficient methodology blended across the UK and India. Our work involves the transformation of an organisation's data management as well as embedding analytics to support their digital transformation and strategy. Our customers benefit from increased automation, efficiency and quality, saving them time and cost and unlocking latent value from their data.

We established our team two years ago. Due to our continued success, we have a healthy, increasing demand pipeline meaning we need to grow the team further.
The Senior Data Engineer will work closely with Data Architects and Project Managers as part of project teams to deliver and run technology solutions for our customers. They will work closely with customers to define and agree requirements. They will design, build, integrate and test technology components as solutions are implemented into live service.
They will report into and support the Data Architects as the Data Architecture + Engineering team is managed on a day to day basis and strategic outcomes are delivered. They will lead and mentor junior members of the team. They will build strong networks in UK and globally.
The Person
Experience in several or all of the areas described above
Experience in designing and implementing solutions in the Microsoft Azure stack using technologies such as Azure Data Factory, Databricks, SQL Server, Synapse Analytics, Analysis Services and Power BI
Skilled in data modelling across both operational (OLTP) and analytical (OLAP) use cases
Experience of Alteryx, Qlik, Tableau and the AWS and GCP platform stacks is an advantage
Experience of working across end-to-end software development, technology or consulting projects (strategy, discovery, design, development and deployment)
Experience explaining complex processes and circumstances in technical and non-technical terms to ensure all understand
A talent for clear, concise communication and getting your point across, both verbal and in written format
Experience in working with both Agile and Waterfall methodologies and familiarity with the benefits and risks of each
The ability to work in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision, handle quickly changing priorities, and be capable of managing yourself to achieve maximum results
Strong stakeholder management with a history of building solid relationships with customers and team members
Strong people skills, able to engage with a wide range of stakeholders at all levels
Ability to support a working culture characterised by collaboration, continuous improvement and commitment to high performance
Organised and meticulous, tenacious and consistent
