Job Description
Swanstaff are looking for Support Workers in Ipswich. You will work closely with two children, building positive and professional relationships, whilst encouraging them into independence with safeguarding being your top priority.
Its a small residential children’s home with two lovely boys in residence, an 11-year-old and 15 year old, the expectations on shift will be to support shift partners and follow their lead, engage with children within the home and activities outside of the home, support with meal times preparing, cooking and serving meals.
It is part of the role to prompt and support the children with their daily activities and building their independence within it. This could be cleaning, cooking, attending appointments, accessing the community, etc.
Shifts are very flexible with long days, early days, weekends, night shifts and sleep ins.

You will be required to have an Enhanced DBS for Children & Adults, we can help you obtain one if you do not currently have one.
Requirements:
Supporting the young people to access the community
Support with daily activites
Encouraging the children to feel comfortable and confident in their abilities to live independently.
Benefits:
Pay rates £9.80-£12.80 per hour
