Job Description
TEACHING ASSISTANT
Leader Education are currently recruiting for Teaching Assistants in partnership with SEN specialist schools based across Bradford.
The schools supports students across Key Stage 3, 4 & 5 with severe learning difficulties and associated complex needs as well as social, emotional and mental health needs (SEMH).
You will have previous experience working with students in these types of settings and specific experience supporting students with autistic spectrum conditions would be beneficial.
Job:
· You will be required to provide either one to one or small group support to students with SEN needs – ASD, visual, hearing and speech impairment, social and emotional complexities, a range of chromosomal difficulties, physical disabilities and challenging behaviours.
· To comply with individual learning plans
· To take direction from the class teacher
· To be enthusiastic and engaging in the teaching and learning within the classroom
You:
· You are an experience classroom support assistant that has experience of working with students with SEN needs
· You are sensitive and understanding
· You make learning fun
· You have excellent communication skills
· You have the ability to understand people's reactions
· Ideally Team Teach trained – training can be provided
This is a full-time, long-term position with the potential to be made permanent to start from September.
