Job Description
Teaching Assistant
Cambridge
£11.60 per hour
We are looking for a Teaching Assistant to support one of our Year 8 pupils.
The TA would be responsible for working with the pupil in class to do the following:
* Reading things to her in class
* Recording things for her, when necessary
* Helping her complete tasks in class and helping her by breaking down tasks into more manageable chunks
* Helping her check her own work
* Supporting her with group/paired tasks if necessary
* Working as a scribe and reader for her in class tests and examinations
* 2 periods working with the pupil on a literacy programme (Fresh Start) so she is getting daily 1-1 support in reading and writing
* Hearing her read
It would be beneficial but not essential for the successful candidate to have an interest in dyslexia, experience of supporting pupils with a SpLD and a Level 4 certificate in supporting literacy in learners with Dyslexia.
Teaching Assistant Working hours
The hours of work will be Monday 08.35—12.35, Tuesday 08.35—16.15, Wednesday 08.35—12.35, Thursday 09.30— 16.15, Friday 08.35—12.35. We would also ideally like someone to work 08.35—10.20 on Saturdays.
