Owen Daniels are partnered with Isotropic systems based in Reading who are looking for a Technical Author.  Isotropic Systems is developing the world’s first multi-service, high-bandwidth, low power, fully integrated range of high throughput terminals designed to support the satellite industry to 'reach beyond' traditional markets.  They have had big investments from some of the biggest blue chip companies in the world to take the mentioned product from the R&D phase into a Manufacturing facility.  With this growth they are looking for a Technical author to join the team who has good knowledge around Networking and or Electronic devices.   

Ideally the Technical Author should have the following experience: 

Experience working with product managers, product marketing, and engineers to produce and maintain world-class documentation
Experience creating the following User Guides, Integration Guides, API Developer Guides, In platform documentation (tooltips, welcome instructions, etc.)
Build and maintain client aids that go beyond traditional documentation, such as online video, demos, guided tours, and other educational techniques.
Act as an editor to ensure consistency in training documentation across the company
Experience as a technical writer in the context of communication devices requiring an outdoor and indoor installation aspect
Knowledge of documentation publication software (eg Adobe RoboHelp, MadCap, Ektron, IBM, SDL pic, Whatfix)
Strong written and verbal communications and experience working with content in multiple mediums
Experience working cross-departmentally to communicate the nuts and bolts of a product
Strong experience owning an end-to-end documentation creation process
Excellent attention to detail and the ability to prioritise and work on multiple projects in a fast-paced, changing environmentIf you feel you have the experience of the above Technical Author then please apply with your most recent CV
