Job Description
As the Trade Marketing Manager you will proactively build first class relationships with Franchisees, internal stakeholders and external partners to develop and implement the UK and Ireland annual marketing plan. Responsible for writing project briefs, copywriting, creating captivating communications assets and sharing best practice with the international team. You'll measure and report on campaign activities and continuously drive improved results. There will be regular travel within the UK and Ireland including some overnight stays.
Establish strong end customer, Franchise Partner and internal research channels
Lead and run focus groups and workshops
Build competitor intelligence and identify trends to further develop the marketing plan
Take responsibility for company brand standards
Work with the UK MD and other stakeholders to develop the company's annual marketing plan to deliver agreed return on investment
Create a clear timing plan for the Trade Marketing function that includes communications, process, people and systems development
Ensure that all marketing activities have clear ROI goals that can be reported on and continuously improved
Lead day to day projects. This will include writing the project briefs, copywriting, providing technical expertise or knowledge, assisting with decision making, providing guidance and support or carrying out specific marketing tasks in support of a project.
Create and communicate a shared vision to provide purpose to the team
Set individual SMART objectives and personal development plans
Carry out a regular assessment of current working practices against the needs of company
Where appropriate introduce new processes or update existing ones
To be successful in this role of Trade Marketing Manager we would love to speak to anyone who has experience of:
Driving licence and car owner
Minimum 3-5 years proven work experience in a trade marketing environment
Experience with managing a team
Experience of all aspects of marketing including digital marketing, communications and product related activities
Experience working with/building relationships with sales teams, distribution/franchise partners and end users
Excellent communication, commercial and project management skills
Copywriting skills
A salesperson as much as a marketer
