V Net Zero Senior Land Advisor Job in Aberdeen

Job Description

Our oil and gas operator client requires a senior land advisor on a PAYE contract.

Description:

Our client is playing a key role in meeting the world's energy needs through the safe, efficient and responsible production of hydrocarbons.

We work hard to produce oil and gas safely and responsibly. Through a combination of activities, we aim to achieve Net Zero for our Scope 1 and Scope 2 greenhouse gas emissions by 2035. It's an ambitious target, but one we are committed to achieving.

Our client is seeking a Senior Land Advisor to work on the VNZ Onshore Pipeline development, as an essential part of the VNZ CO2 Transport & Storage project (VNZ). The V Net Zero pipeline will transport captured carbon dioxide from the Immingham industrial site to the site of the former Theddlethorpe Gas Terminal (TGT), 53km away. From there, the captured carbon emissions will be transferred along an existing subsea pipeline, before being injected into existing depleted gas reservoirs, 9,000 feet deep and 120km off the coast in the North Sea. This process is called ‘carbon capture and storage’ and is one of several important ways for the UK to achieve its target of achieving Net Zero carbon emissions by 2050.

Meeting the UK’s target of achieving Net Zero carbon emissions by 2050 will require reduced emissions of carbon dioxide from existing industries within the Humber and Greater Lincolnshire region. Carbon capture, transport and storage offers a way to maintain these vital industries, enabling retention of high-valve jobs in the region and providing the low-carbon infrastructure needed to promote the development of new industries and investment in Lincolnshire and the Humber.
