Job Description

Role: Business Development Executive

Hours: Full time Monday to Friday 9am until 5pm with half hour lunch

Location: Shirley Solihull B90

Salary: £28 – 30,000 plus commission

We are working exclusively on behalf of our client who is seeking an experienced Business Development Executive. The focus of the role will be to ensure the continued growth and success of this award-winning business. This exciting role offers an amazing opportunity for an ambitious sales professional to have the freedom to generate business nationally and across any industry sectors. Following the success this year at industry awards it will be a warm sales introducing the business service to prospective clients. This role will be working closely alongside their Business Development Manager to enhance the company sales strategy and pipeline.

Role and responsibilities:

* Responsible for effective lead generation through LinkedIn, referrals, enquiries and following up leads secured already in the internal database

* Identifying key decision makers and understanding their current and future business needs

* Maintaining strong customer relationships with active and prospect clients to increase future sales opportunities through effective account management

* Regularly update the Senior Management team on pipeline and active clients

* Work alongside the Marketing team to deliver and distribute successful marketing campaigns to promote services to prospect clients

* Work alongside the Commercial Contracts team to ensure timely production of tenders and ensure pricing for quotes remain competitive

* Engage positively with all areas of the business to build strong internal relationships

* Build and maintain accurate records in the ACT database

Skills and experience required:

* Proven work history working in delivering results in a similar B2B Business Development or Sales Executive position is essential

* Proven work history to showcase exceeding targets, effective negotiation and securing high value contracts is essential

* Commercial acumen and creativity to suggest new ideas to the senior management team

* Outstanding verbal and written communication skills essential

* Experience in selling a contract service is desirable

* Confident, engaging, passionate and a natural networker

* Resilient, tenacious and organised
