Our client works on both local and a national contracts covering Atex (explosive) areas within manufacturing environments, voltage optimization and machine automation for many blue-chip companies.
Due to their continued expansion. Our client is looking to add to their skilled and motivated industrial electrician team.
Key Duties & Responsibilities:
Installation of electrical industrial equipment
Installation of different size cabling and containment systems
Fault finding
Reactive maintenance & general maintenance of electric systemsThe industrial electrician will possess:
Formal qualifications within Electrical or Electronic Engineering (Apprenticeship, HNC, HND, NVQ/BTEC Level 3 etc.)
Strong and stable work experience with AT LEAST 5 years work experience in this field
IDEAL BUT NOT ESSENTIAL – Compex (Hazardous Areas) Qualification, 18th Edition Certification and Test and Inspection qualificationSkills you should possess:
Have a good understanding of different installation methods in an industrial environment, electrical testing and reactive fault finding.
Strong Problem-solving skills
Ability to Troubleshoot
Being an analytical and critical thinker
Strong communicator
Strong attention to detail
Having great time management and organisational skillsWorking hours:
Standard 39.5-hour week Monday to Friday. However, regular weekend and evening work is required on an AD-HOC basis to service customer requirements – anticipated 50hr+ week.
Monday – Thursday: 08:00 – 16:30
Monday – Friday: 08:00 – 16:00
Further details of the Industrial Electrician Role:
Annual salary between £34,918 – £39,026 (£17/hr / £19/hr)
Overtime rates are paid at 150% & 200%
150% paid after completion of 8hrs Monday to Thursday and 7.5hrs Friday.
150% paid for the first 4hrs worked on Saturdays
200% paid after 4hrs worked Saturdays
200% paid on any hours worked Sunday
Company van (must have a clean driving license)
Company pension scheme after your 6-month probation period
