The Company
Highfield Professional Solutions are proud to be representing a leading design consultancy who specialise in rail design among other areas. You will work on a variety of projects across an E&P framework working on programmes at the detailed design stage.
The Position
Our client is looking for a Senior Project Manager to join their already successful team to work closely with management to work with some of their most frameworks. The role offers an opportunity for hybrid working and exposure to interesting projects.
Role and Responsibilities
Manage projects in compliance with Project Control System
Set up programmes for project, update regularly and ensure that managers have sufficient resources to meet deadlines
With support of commercial team, ensure that contracts are in place before work commences including subcontracts and purchase orders for suppliers and sub consultants
Forecast and monitor the financial performance of the project for our client, giving weekly/monthly reports, comparing actual and forecast performance to plan expectations and explaining variations
Maintain detailed project records to ensure that all projects are correctly monitored
Stakeholder management to ensure that projects are progressing, and progress reports are issued
Forecast and monitor the financial performance and explain variations in performance
Identify financial and programme issues that need to be addressed with the client to ensure their satisfaction and agreed KPIs are met
Manage, develop, coach and motivate employees in the project team
Ensure compliance with HSE and other appropriate regulations
Maintain and develop key clients contacts to maximise future business opportunitiesExperience and Skills Required
Achieved MEng, BEng or equivalent CEng or have relevant industry experience.
Computer literate and be able to competently use systems such as MS Projects, Primavera and other Project management software
Experience of managing design projects within a consultancy
Experience of working on a variety of rail projects across multiple disciplines. E&P Would be advantageous
