Job description
Looking for a Learning Support Assistant (LSA) to work alongside teachers and help teach skills to individual pupils with SEND and/or SEMH needs. Daily rate of £80 – 90 a day and with a chance of progression and training. You'll be someone who likes children and young people and is willing to be responsible both for helping them learn, but also for their safety and wellbeing.
Key Responsibilities
Support pupils to engage in learning activities, adapt tasks for individuals and assist them to make progress
Establish good relationships with pupils, acting as a role model and being aware of and responding appropriately to individual needs
Support teacher in the classroom with teaching and behaviour
Help teacher by keeping track of the children's progressJob Specifics
Working with children with Special Educational Needs would be an advantage but is not essential as training will be provided
Characteristics: Caring, adaptable, positive, supportive
Know how to use basic technology e.g. PCs, computer, photocopier, tablets
Some knowledge of first aid, health and safety would be desirable
Knowledge on safeguarding is desirable but no necessary
Willingness to learn new skillsQualifications
NVQ3 qualification or equivalent desirable but not necessaryBenefits
